Monasterboice Naomh Mairtin GAA Club has recently initiated a significant sustainability project aimed at improving its facilities and reducing its environmental impact. In partnership with SE Systems, the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), JV Communications, Truway Systems, and the Energy Team, the club has successfully retrofitted its grounds with new solar panels and energy-efficient floodlights.
Project Overview
The main goal of this project is to utilize renewable energy sources and enhance energy efficiency within the club’s facilities. By installing solar panels, the club aims to produce its own electricity, which will reduce its reliance on non-renewable energy sources and lower operational costs. Additionally, the installation of energy-efficient LED floodlights will provide optimal lighting for sports activities while minimizing energy consumption.
